Indian Idol 12 host and singer Aditya Narayan celebrated 41 glorious years of his father and veteran singer Udit Narayan in the music industry on Monday. Aditya reposted a monochromatic throwback picture of his father from his younger days as they celebrated ‘Udit Narayan Day’.
In the picture shared, the veteran singer can be seen recording a song in a studio. Alongside the post, Aditya wrote, “Happy Udit Narayan day to the G.O.A.T. #41years”
On the other hand, Udit Narayan recalled that he began his playback career in the industry with a song from the film “Unees Bees”, composed by Rajesh Roshan.
Taking to Instagram, Udit Narayan wrote, ”41 years ago, my first ever playback venture in the Indian Film & Music industry for the film ‘Unees Bees’ released, composed by Rajesh Roshan Ji. I was fortunate to sing my debut song with my idol Shri Mohammad Rafi Saab.”
“Thanks to everyone who gave me the opportunity to work with them, the young boy from Mithilanchal fulfilled his ambition of becoming a playback singer. Thank you fans and well-wishers for recognizing 5th July as Udit Narayan day,” he added.
Many fans also congratulated the legendary singer for his 41 years in the music industry. Singer Tony Kakkar commented in Aditya’s post and wrote, “Respect.”
Udit Narayan started singing in the 1980s and has bagged four National Awards. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. Udit’s big break came in 1988 when he recorded the songs of “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.” The film’s tracks such as ‘Papa kehte hain’, ‘Akele hain toh kya gham hai’ ‘Ae mere humsafar’ and went on to become blockbusters that shaped his career.
